Looks like Manchester City are about to get him.

They are willing to pay around £20m

So Baines is worth 12-15 million according to the gutter press and Badly Drawn Boy is worth £20m?

Right you are then.

Why the hell do City want him? They have Lescott, Toure and Kompany as well as a few others I've probs forgotten about.

Man City obviously see their defence as a weakness and not all the best defenders in the world are going to go to Man City. They own the nice market of overpriced transfer fees for average players.

You gotta love the deluded ones

@ShopRedLabel If Torres went for £50m that makes Skrtel worth at least £100m

Sometimes it's not about strengthening your own side, as weakening others. A vulgar display of power...

This. Tbf I'm not arsed if it happens to Liverpool but I think this will set a precedent. For me buying Lescott was as much about weakening us as it was about strengthening them. They hardly even played him for a season when he left us.

Skrtel should stay at Liverpool tbh. He'll be benched at City before long.

Liverpool dont want to pay his high wage demands.

Agree with this completely.

City went on a major spree of weakening the teams around them when they bought Milner, Barry, Lescott, Clichy, Nasri and the rest.

Really it is sh&te house tactics.

Well to soften the blow for Liverpool it's like swapping Skrtel for Henderson. So it's not all doom and gloom eh, red men?

April fools as passed mate!. Haha is this a wind up aye, its got to be, £20m for him?!!
