Remember being devastated when he was sold as alongside Beardsley he was our best player at that time. Had great pace and fight and formed a brilliant partnership with Watson which was for a period acknowledged as the best pairing in the league.

He would be fantastic in our team now

Keown was crap when he first came to us, the Gwlady used to do Donkey noises at him, I'm sure he was sent up front a few times towards the end of games as well. He Improved but was no where near the player that he developed into for Arsenal... I'm sure he doesn't regret moving one bit.

Quite right. Loved him when he played for us and respected him as an Arsenal player as well.

I'd also like to see a young Keown alongside Stones.

As for being hit with an ugly stick there is probably a lotion for that these days.

Of course he improved at arsenal
Like most players do with experience and playing with better players
But to say he was no where near that player with us is a joke
Was fantastic in his last season and a half
Broke into the England team and whent to the 92 euros

Even though the media wanted their favourites in before him
Like mark wright at Liverpool
Pallister at Man Utd and tony Adams

Massively underrated by the media
Even now you still hear people talking about arsenals back four of the 90's abd they mention Steve bould instead of him

How the [Poor language removed] venables picked Southgate ahead of him in 96

It was scandalous he went for 2.5mil when around the same time I think Stubbs went to celtic for 4mil
