Interesting comments from Moyes.

Everton 3 Stoke 1: Moyes tips 'enforcer' Fellaini for Keane role | Mail Online

Reflecting on the way Keane used to drive United on, Moyes - celebrating seven years as Everton manager - said: 'In time, Felli can have that sort of influence on our fortunes. His English is improving and he is a conscientious boy who wants to work at his game.

'I hope his development goes a stage further next season and I can see it taking him into a deeper role. Overall, he has had a really good first season in the Premier League, especially as he is only 21.

'He was used in front of the other midfielders at Standard, affecting things in the box in a similar way to Tim Cahill, and it is often the same for Belgium. But I see him stepping further back for us in time.

'The new look was something else though, eh? It has provoked a fair bit of comment but apparently he didn't need his hair cutting at all.'

So there it is, expect Fellaini grooming coming up.

Boss photo that too.

He sees himself as a defensive holding midfielder. His tackling will have to improve drastically if he is to play that role in the premier.

like moysie says he's 21, i think its not unreasonable to expect most aspects of his play will improve in time.

I still want him to break the yellow card record though, is this wrong?

I'm looking forward to the fans who slate Fellaini, completely change their tune about him in 2-3 years time. The boy is going to be class. He will be the one we all talk about - i'm sure of it because he will be that good. Once he get's used to the pace of the English game he will eat up opposition midfields - mark my words!

Is it slating him or just being realistic?

Slating him would be critisising him, I'm not doing that. Simply saying he's suited to a different position.

He's more of a Peter Crouch than a Patrick Vieira.

Never said you were slating him Toccy lad, but wenever i read letters page in the echo or listen to people at the game, Fellaini gets some much stick.

I agree that at the minute he is probably better upfront as he struggles with the pace in midfield. Once that changes however, he will be one of Europe's best midfielders, i am very confident about that - give the boy time.

He's a Crouch now but will be a Viera in time!

Fair enough mate.

Nothing wrong with being the new Peter Crouch though, very useful player.

I like crouch "great feet for a big man"

but seriously crouch is a good player.

On topic, for Fellaini to be a defensive midfielder he will need to learn how to tackle.
