Mark Clattenburg "allowed Spurs to self destruct"

I've thought for ages that refs have their own agenda. Unlikely to make decisions that will be a talking point even if they know it's the right one.

And on his harris he has a tattoo of the cup given to him by Dirk Kuyt at Melwood after the time he allowed Everton to self-destruct. Underneath the cup it says EPL, Derby 2007.

*****ing ***t.

Perfectly fair tackle if you're a RS supporter...

“I helped the game,” Clattenburg added. “I certainly benefited the game by my style of refereeing. Some referees would have played by the book; Tottenham would have been down to seven or eight players and probably lost and they would’ve been looking for an excuse. But I didn’t give them an excuse, because my gameplan was: let them lose the title.”

Shouldn't his "gameplan" have been to get decisions right and ref the match fairly?

Was listening to Guardian weekly podcast earlier. Mentions this and is critical of him too.

Also mentions how In Jeff Winter's autobiography, He talks about a game at the Pit in his final season. At one point in the game there was a ripple of applause round the ground so Winter just basically decided that it must be for him.

Egotistical, cheating blerts the lot of them
