Might work in our fav

He knows he will be under the spotlight

He was fine for the Southampton game imo

I'm relaxed about it. From what I've seen of him this season, he's one of the best around. Did a good job at Anfield on Sunday - ok, so he missed Skrtel's handball which would have given City a last minute penalty, but none of the players appealed for it. He did tell Suarez to pick himself up after the snidey one threw himself down in the box. In the Spurs game he allowed the free kick to be taken from the wrong place - big deal. He erred on the side of letting the game flow and allowing a quick free kick which in principle is something that should be welcomed.

Moyes probably asked for a favour from the fa

Most partial rs ref int he game gets their biggest game of the season, and then gets our biggest right after - did they actually not even watch the bias he showed yesterday or did that rc at the end actually work in making the FA think he was fair

To obvious

Yeah well, it's ok but why has he been given so many big gigs? United v Liverpool, Liverpool v City and this one - straight on the back of the United - Liverpool one in the case of United. The only redeeming element is that United couldn't have much of an argument about the pens. Shame he wasn't so keen to give any yesterday tho.

Then again, maybe they want to give us the push to be ready for the City game.. to help hand LFC "their" title.

Suarez could have been sent of 3 times at least, city should have had 2 penalties as well

3 pens and a rc at old trafford mate vs the rs - obviously under the spotlight
The derby - need i say more about that performance - knew he was in the spotlight then too
The game against city - 2 stonewall pens turned down for city, one that would have seen them 100% certain to draw the game, and deciding to ignore the rules of the game about Suarez getting a second yellow - no bigger spotlight game this season than that one

He doesn't care as the FA have his back and its beyond a joke, he will favour whichever team he would rather see win, its the Clattenberg way

It's just a pity we can't have him for the Citeh game.

He would give us everything in an attempt to aid the RS win the title.
That would have been pure theatre as half the crowd would be wanting City to win anyway if it stopped them winning the league, so they would be booing him for the decisions in our favour and the other half would be booing him for the decisions against us.

Clattenbastard?

Seeing as he's reffing us again now Moyes has left it seems it was down to Moyes that he was kept from doing so.

Therefore I doubt he's likely to do Moyes any favours. Could work in our favour.

Haha, nice attempt at a wind up :P

We'll just disregard the fact that he missed the stonewall Dzeko penalty.

It's a shame referees have become such superstars the way they are. If they weren't afforded such attention and media coverage it would be so much better for the sport. The way they are able to perform seemingly as they see fit with little punishment for 'mistakes' that potentially cost teams millions of pounds (Collina potentially cost us 30m) is disgusting.

You can guarantee he will ref the Liverpool v Chelsea game and probably our game against Manchester city

its sad that after such a dodgy performance at the weekend, that the Premier league would reward him with the biggest game of this weekend....says alot really....
