Marco Silva

Yeah the PSG stint has tarnished his rep a bit, having everything at his disposal and not delivering (well I mean the CL)
Interesting couple of weeks coming up as all clubs seeking a new manager will want it done before the world cup starts.

Either way next season WILL be better than this one..
Not sure about that. Depends on who our manager is and if we actually bring in players that will play. I hope we keep onto Lookman, but we never really got a great look at a few players we brought in.

As part of my own personal due diligence on any potential new managers/signings, I like to carefully research full details (images mainly) of their wives/girlfriends. I can find no reference to Marco having either; so the omens are good. If he does rock up, he should hopefully be able to give our mess all the focus it will surely need.;)

Of course it does, I just find almost impossible to be worse than this season. Koeman Unsworth Allardyce!!!! lets be honest that's going to take some beating

If it's right that he can't speak English it's a non starter from me. Whoever takes over as coach has to be able to communicate clearly with the players. I think that was part of the problem with Koeman and his English was pretty good.
Rubbish that though as Pochettino came over without knowing any English and look how that turned out.

"Expecting something stupid" Just waiting for the Silva confirmation and then that will be oh so much more true!
yes...and I am just surprised at the iron-clad optimism that next season will be better than this one just concluded. I am anything but confident of that panning out. Everton's capacity to disappoint is the one reality you can take to the bank.

Arteta is favorite for the Arsenal job, I would definitely take a risk on Mikel!
Would you?.

Much bigger risk than Silva for me but some on here would probably prefer him strangely. (Not strange that they would want Arteta, but strange that they would be against Silva because he was too big a risk but would be in favour of Arteta).

Ahhh I completely understand that feeling. I feel the same way about the Detroit Lions as well... I remember we needed to win one of our last four games to go to the playoffs a couple years ago... we lost all four.

I think with Silva we have seen what he is capable of in the Premier League coaching. With Arteta, he hasn't been at that level but has been an assistant coach to the 100 point Manchester City. Maybe there is something there, maybe there isn't.

SKYBET taking fools money.
Not saying it won’t happen but those odds will have lads thinking they are buying money as Barney Curley used to say
Is there anyone really still of the belief that Silva wont be made our next manager?

The feller's been hanging around since January watching all kinds of easy jobs come and go, because he's already been hired.
