The bigging his time up before the Everton approach is bizzare as well:
Lost to Bristol city in the 2nd round.
Then drew at Brighton
Lost 6-0 at Man City
Drew at West Brom
Lost 4-2 against Chelsea
Lost against stoke
Lost against Everton when at free fall.

Mixed in those results he had 4 wins (against arsenal, Southampton, Bournemouth, Swansea) so basically 1 great win and 3 against teams that where/was almost relegated.

He then had two wins (against West Ham and Newcastle - both who at the time where shocking) and then went on the awful run that got him sacked.

It ain't a record to write home about, certainly not to the point he gets an improved club and wage.

At the start of the season everyone is getting their feet ready. At one point Brighton was up their, along with Southampton and Huddersfield, let's go get their managers as well eh for the 5 minutes of "good form"

That is true, but in looking at his stats in the Premier League, which by the way is the league we are in, they are very poor. We need to be more ambitious than Silva

Love the totally objective way you've listed all the bad stuff individually to drag it out and make it look like a massive list and then just crammed the wins in together.

I have no idea whether Silva is a) our realistic first choice, or b) the answer to our problems. It is possible though, that we aren't interested in him simply because of what he did/didn't do at Watford, but because we see something about him that we believe is a good fit for us. I said similar in the transfer thread yesterday, the key isn't looking at whether or not someone is currently doing well, but looking at what skills they bring to the table. If Silva has been identified as a manager with the tactical knowledge and man management skills to succeed then I don't really care what his record was at Watford.

The only way I can think that there'll be something going on is if they haven't been paying him and then It could get messy, don't know how though!

But even then that's between Silva and Watford. Nothing to do with us. I'd be surprised if Silva asked us to cover his back pay from Watford when we're probably trebling his pay anyway.

Koeman had Southampton in the Top 6 and look how that turned out.

There are no guarantees in football. He is going to have a huge budget here to improve in areas. Let’s just see how he gets on.

I, for one, am excited about his potential as a manager and looking forward to actually going the game again.

Definitely mob mentality because looking at their last two years there's hardly any difference.

A relegation and a sacking is equivalent to a league winning double and impressive champions league performances.

The most compelling argument for Silva as a good fit is that he would come here with a hunger to prove himself.
We have waited patiently for him which would hopefully show mutual respect of each others (hopeful) ambitions to succeed.

We find ourselves as a big club that is a current laughing stock after making a total mess of the season.

Koeman came here for the money. Never once did he have the look of determination to see us back at the top table.
Unsworth was too early and Allardyce is Allardyce. He did what he brought in to do in this retched season.

We came 8th in a 7 horse race.

LEICESTER and Everton have been hotly tipped to battle it out for ex-Watford boss Marco Silva.

Both Claude Puel and Sam Allardyce are on the brink at the King Power Stadium and Goodison Park.

Leicester have underwhelmed this term and Allardyce isn’t a popular figure on Merseyside given his pragmatic style of football.
