Palace got £2m out of us for FatHead.. and he left them the season before.

Snide contract clauses.
No. Allardyce walked away from a contract that still had 2 years to run I think. He "retired from football" for personal and family reasons.

But the £9m over 18 months from ws obviously enough for us to entice him out of retirement.

If Silva was the one who walked away from his job at Watford we would owe them compo too. But he wasn't.

Well he is to blame for what's happened to Sunderland....honest! Nearly forgot Palace are obviously doomed next season.:)
No, I think Moyes was more to blame for what happened at Sunderland. Sunderland fans won't have a word said against Allardyce.

"Crystal Palace would be due a payment in the region of £2m if Sam Allardyce were to take over at Goodison Park, The Independent understands.

The former England manager stunned the Selhurst Park club by resigning from his post in May, but part of his severance agreement saw Palace insert a clause stating they would be due compensation were he to step into any club job before a certain date - believed to be next July - and that sum is understood to reduce after January 1st. We had to pay.

Come on now mate. You were far too obvious right out the gate. Best to close this one down and try again with a new one tomorrow. Might have better luck if you don't show your cards too soon with "I give up on this team" threads.

This is hard work
The mentality of agree with everything we say isn’t how a forum should work. I embrace different opinions you guys should do the same

People criticising Silva but loving Fonseca just show how susceptible they are to mob mentality. lol
I think its more to do with his 2 short spells at Watford and Hull, one ended in relegation and the other the sack!! So I can see why people are not overwhelmed if it is him..

Nobody will be disappointed if we start winning games under Silva.
The problem will be if we don't. He does not have a stellar career of success behind him.
Ten games in and we are close to the bottom of the table, what do you do, stick or twist ?

I like Silva, I like the way his teams play football.
I had hoped we had moved on from taking a gamble on a manager hoping for the best.

If he comes I will give him my support as I do for all managers... Sam included.
Not sure about the nobody being disappointed when we start winning bit mate, but I agree with the rest !

Okay, but ignoring things like how Silva was doing before we tried to get him, and the fact Fonseca hasn't even managed in the Prem. And other reasons...

Saying you'd hate having Silva (in some cases preferring Moyes or Allardyce), while at the same time salivating over the thought of Fonseca managing us... Then it's very inconsistent imo.

You signed up to a forum today and the first thing you post is how finished you are with the team and you're surprised everyone has you clocked as a kopite WUM?

If you're "pretty much done with Everton" why would you feel the need to sign up for a forum and tell a load of Evertonians that? Bit strange that behaviour no? Doesn't make sense mate, red flags and scarves all over the shop here from you.

What do you think of Marco Silva lid?
