Incorrect. Their form going into that game wasn't as bad. Your sarcasm has failed today Mr Wigan. But i admire the effort

You're mistaking a genuine comment for sarcasm Gilbert. I've always understood the point you are making but can understand posters giving you a hard time about it.Even if teams are in a poor run, they can win the next game if they are allowed to. You've been an Everton fan long enough to know this. Even Cardiff or Huddersfield or Burnley(like they did against City) can make it difficult to play well against them. To beat anyone in or out of form, in the Prem is not easy 'There are no easy games'. Believe me, if we had brought our 'Fulham game' to the table against United, we would have lost. So Silva, to his credit, is getting a very good tune out of Everton, more and more, and he deserves credit for this. Good runs come to an end eventually, and equally bad runs don't last forever.

Oh my god are people STILL making this argument? It's actually pathetic. We haven't beaten a top 6 team since 2017 and now Silva beats 3 in 5 weeks its "uh well other teams beat them so its nothing to shout about" and if we lose to them you would be going off your rocker.
Absolute nonsense that people are actually using Silva beating 3 of the top 6 against him.

I said at the time half-jokingly that this is what would happen. I was only half-joking for a reason. Never underestimate the Everton fanbase.

im just wandering when the silva in people will actually start critiquing his set up and tactics , if next season pans out like this one, or will he get another 2 years now because he beat a united, Chelsea and arsenal... all of whom have been beaten by much lesser teams than normal this season any way.

if we are down in 12th at Christmas, as all his previous seasons in the premier league point too, then will people still be happy ??

I just think overall, Silva just offers us mid table / fight for 7th (wow) ….

So you want people to criticise him for something that hasn’t happened yet - next season !

Must try harder.

I gave the team credit. I said i enjoyed the perfomances. Think it was a fully justified comment to say they were poor sides and i dont think it had any bearing on where we were going for that reason. I cant help if people only read one part of what i said.
Sometimes this forum is like walking into a retail shop and having an over exuberant sales assistant trying to over sell you something.

Or conversely, someone constantly walking up and down the street with an “ End is Nigh “ placard.

I am being honest, I gave you nothing but facts there.

If you were being honest you would have pointed out most of those wins were all at home. Where they get most of their points. Will take beating them at home. Like everyone else tends to as they're shiite away from home.
No more to say on that tbh.

They were in good form when we played them, that’s all I was saying. Another fact is that straight after us they won their next two away games against Watford and Napoli.

Go spend 5 mins on arsenal tv and see what their own fans think about their side away from home.
Gutless and pathetic are two words that crop up a lot.
Watched that watford game. 10 men watford for 80 mins. And they were still just clinging on for the win at the end.
Are you even disputing they are shiite away from home ha.
