It's very obvious we've hired the wrong bloke... but reputations are hinged on this... certain people at the club don't want to look daft... so are stupidly backing him still

Big chance that Moshiri will sacrifice next season to try make him look smart however he'll look even worse if the seasons over come next December as fans will be saying he should have gone at the end of this season.

I still think he'll be gone end of the season - not even Moshiri's hard on will maintain if we only win 1-2 games from the next 14 games.

People wonder how Klopp got to a CL final with a midfield of Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum

People wonder how Moyes could finish top 6 with the likes of Beattie and Marcus Bent

Good managers can get a tune out of the players they work with.
Exactly and they find a formation that suits too. Not continue with the same 451 dross week in week out when it isn't working!

What dosent help is the article about the profit being up. Moshiri might be fooled into thinking because the money is coming in everything is fine.
The football is getting worse but the money isn't, question is which does Moshiri care about? He should want them both to be right, I fear the football is his third priority after the money and ground

Let's hope so mate

Not so sure tho.

Intelligent posters like @Connor are still willing to back him... so I honestly don't know what the club are thinking

See your being very subjective that you accuse others of. Everyones slagging our side at present and calling Richarlison, Gylfi etc. Average at the moment because we are playing crap but go back to when we were winning games and people were talking about Richarlison going for £100 million, Gylfi proving everyone wrong etc etc.

Its easy to over hype players when its going well and call them crap when the teams in a slump.

To answer your question our squad is better than all of the sides outside the top 6 (wolves slightly beneath us when both at full strength).

Wolves are a better assembled team than Everton. I've said my thoughts on Sigurdsson on the board before. He's got good vision and technical ability. That's about it. He's an average to above average midfielder. Richarlison is feast or famine. That's to be expected for a young player. I hope you laughed at people suggesting he would go for 100 mil.

I believe Leicester have a better spine than Everton.

A big problem is the makeup of the squad. Sigurdsson, Gueye, Coleman, Keane, Tosun, Baines, DCL all look to play much more rigid football than Lookman, Richarlison, Digne, Bernard, Gomes all are much more suited to free flowing.

There's not just one answer for the problems Everton have right now. There's not just one person that should be shouldering a majority of the blame.

Let's have it right.. moshiri is not here for Everton....

Even @MarcelsGoat will tell us he is here for one thing... and it isn't us...

£££££££ is all it is

He's an arsenal fan!!

4-5-1 needs to go. I really can't think of an appreciably better formation for the current squad though. The answer certainly isn't pushing Gueye or Gomes up higher. They are where they are supposed to be. Putting Davies in and having him play higher certainly isn't the answer. Two strikers? Doubt any combo of two strikers would help anything.

Hes not a football fan full stop, hes a money fan.

But he only makes money if we become a success, off and on the pitch.

Newcastle is a prime example, fairly big stadium, Premier League club and Ashley cant sell for 300m, Moshiri doesnt even cover his investment if he sells for 300m. So its very much in his interests that we improve on the pitch.

He didnt invest 250m into making us better if he has no interest in making us better.

The problem is Moshiri cares primarily about the new ground with performance on the pitch being secondary. He's under the deluded belief that hiring a manager known for attacking football is all that EFC fans care about and will be packing the new ground week in week out watching us get beat 4-1.

He's frankly wrong and week after week Silva's critics become larger and more vocal. Losses against both City and Watford and he'll be on the ropes imo.

Mosh will likely want him to stay but if the fans make it known they've had enough I think he'll be gone come the seasons end.

If not next season is going to be another long and fruitless one.

Loads of great business people have invested millions only to become disillusioned and give up... Ashley case in point.

Mosh could easily do the same. He will seriously hate losing cash hand over fist
