Ok, whoa. We completely dominated Newcastle this year. I was ticked just like everyone else, but we had the ball the whole game, they bunkered in, we gave them the ball back a bit, we struggled to break them down, and they got a point. We played well against the last year, but they had plenty of opportunities to scored against us. I recall Gayle having several opportunities that didn’t go his way. But that was one of the few matches we actually played well if I recall. However, it was a game, it wasn’t just Newcastle under siege and bunkering down.

We can’t beat them that’s the point. End of.

What’s this domination and possession obsession when you can’t beat dross? That is meaningless. We don’t win points through having 65% 70% possession in a game.

Neither did the same thing, through. We were getting battering every week with both.

Yet Koeman got 7th and BFS got 8th. If you call that getting battering every week what’s the crap being served up this season? We got beaten by West Ham, Leicester and Wolves at home my goodness. Wolves dismantled Everton.

We simply cannot keep sacking managers and replacing them every season, if for no other reason than it is costing us a fortune of money we cannot afford.

Results, and the season in general, are disappointing but we are all aware of the difficulties the DOF and manager have regarding a bloated squad of overpaid players that are proving difficult to sell. Time must be allowed to sort this problem and it was this problem in part which prevented the manager manager making signings during the recent window.

I think we have got to accept the manager will be given more time, rightly so and I think if we are no better in twelve months time... then he is in trouble.

I think it would be helpful if Marcel Brands were to give the fans a general outline as to where the club stands today , what the objectives are and a timescale for the future.. nothing too specific but it would help settle supporters if they could believe there is at least a plan.

You do realize we conceded 46 goals from open play last year leading the entire league. My point is not to defend Silva, my point is that we were BAD last year.

We conceded 44 goals under Koeman, Unsworth and BFS in the league as we read the table.

We were bad last year but this season is worse. We won’t get many points in the remaining 13 games. This is Martinez level of crappyness.

We had 3 shots on goal to their 5.

76% possession, but possession is the most useless stat in sports. Passing the ball around the back for 70 mins shouldn’t be something we’re proud of.

Got to question moshiri and his judgement on footballing matters.

If he’s talking up youngsters...Calvert Lewin is average, Kenny nothing special, Jury out on lookman, Davies is poor.

Generally I agree but Lookman, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Mina, Pickford are all young players in their positions and have a lot of potential.

Barring a complete disaster he shouldn't be either.

Of course if we get beat by a cricket score against City tomorrow (which is not out of the question) I will be burning effigys of him.

I hope we lose 5-0 tomorrow. NEA.

Who are these youngsters he's wanting to develop?

See above.

Brilliant news that Mosh isn't buckling under the pressure and is giving Silva time.
Stability is what we need right now otherwise we go through the same process every year with a new manager.

For info I didn't want him, I'd have stuck with Sam before him but as he is here he needs time.

The obsession of that is ludicrous. If we can’t win a game that’s it this is that simple.

We don’t know yet.

Once the fans start voting with their feet it usually only ends one way.

A spanking by city and he won't be here for the next game.

Moyes in until the end of the season.

We conceded 58 last year, with a goal differential of -14. Our goals conceded from open play was 46. Worst in the entire league my friend.
