Gueye is 29, in a year or so he'll be worthless. We are trying to build for the future. I'd probably rather sell Siggurdson (well I'd rather sell a lot of them, but I mean of our saleable assets) but we have an offer for Gueye and the player wants to go.
Liverpool had an offer for Courtinio of £80 mil but turned it down, Silva knows if he wants the fans off his back he needs his better players until the summer

sorry you are talking nonsense!
how can you say everyone was fairly content when they were streaming out the gates with less than a hour gone against spurs!
there was pressure to win the 2 home games after the derby, booed off in the newcastle game, watford played us off the park!
did you go to brighton? they were piss poor and were booed off, like countless times since the derby.
as i said before theres no pressure now,the seasons over except maybe if we dont do our usual bottle job in the derby!
lets see what the attendance is against city next week!
Oh wow. It's not hard. I'm not saying people were content while we were playing at Christmas, i'm saying there was no pressure in the lead up to those games because everybody was perfectly content with where we were. A month ago everybody was saying finishing 8th would be fine, now we are 8th and everybody's kicking off. People are no longer content, so there is more pressure on than there was. I don't really see how it's even disputable to be honest.

Whether or not Silva is likely to make us a better team in the next year or so, nobody really knows for sure, but he does not inspire confidence. In his defence though, just reflect on the sheer number of second rate players we bought and still have cluttering our books like Niasse, Ramirez, Tosun, Klassen (or did we actually get rid of him?), Besic, Bolassie, Martina, Williams, Walcott, and maybe one or two more I cannot remember. It will take 2 more years to unload that lot and with a temporary block on spending, what is Silva expected to do? Tread water I would think and try to hang around the 7th/8th placing.

Got rid of Klasson, for money as well, somehow.
