I do and so do most others. If we're rubbish and Liverpool aren't winning anything I can put up with that. Just.

If they start picking up a title and we remain also rans at best, then that's going to cause some friction.

Not something Silva has to worry about this seaason though. Or shouldn't be anyway.

Never underestimate how Evertonians are affected by that lot.

Dont get me wrong mate them doing well certainly is a kick in the plums like, but if we were comfortably in 7th really pushing the top 6 and playing good convincing football I wouldn't really be bothered regardless of what the RS or any side does.

Im annoyed at present as I look at the league table and see clubs who csnt hold a candle to EFC above us, this whilst we have spent a kings ransom in the past 2 seasons.

I would also say bar Leicester and Brighton we haven't actually played that attractive - better than dinosaur Alladyce of course but that isn't exactly difficult!

But it can't be 'not looking too clever' when we're literally within one win of being 7th/6th, that was my point.

Where one team in a cluster of 5-6 who are going for 7th, potentially 6th. That's just where we are as a club at the moment. Hopefully by the end of the season, we've put a gap between us (in a positive sense).
Man U will pull away now. The players were on strike under Mourinho. We’ll be lucky to finish above West Ham, who have found form under Pelligrini.

If we had the same money as Arsenal and Liverpool to spend then I would be livid. Liverpool and Arsenal have more spending power and can basically buy many players we cannot. We are in a situation where we have to buy mainly unproven players and hope they turn into gems. We have to do a spurs and it will take a bit of time which is something Silva hasn't had yet.

Liverpool have spent 353m in the last 5 transfer windows, they have a net spend of 50m in that period.

Arsenal have spent 232m in the last 5 transfer windows, net spend 115m

Tottenham have spent 168m in the last 5 transfer windows, net spend 65m.

We have spent 323m in the last 5 transfer windows net spend 164m.

Let's not say we haven't got the money the top 6 have.

Now do wages.

They only needed to top up on players as better players were already in situ.
Couldn't really say the same with Everton.

Better finishers in that team obviously. Equal talent if not more now imo.
I don’t think so. Jelavic was good but not great as a striker. I also rate Fellaini, Baines and Pienaar higher than the current lot. Miralles was also very good when he actually was motivated. Obviously Martinez had Lukaku, who was much better.

We can, but most of the money we have spent over the last 5 transfer windows has been wasted sadly.

We are playing catch up, you dont catch up 20 years of going backwards in 5 transfer windows.
Pay big money and wages for big name players. One way of doing that is by getting in a proven manager that has won trophies, not constantly giving young managers with no experience a chance to see what they can do.

How about finding good players who are unknown rather than pissing money down the drain?

Surley moshiri has figured out that the top 6 (united aside) have top quality managers in place.

The huge mistake moshiri made when coming in was appointing a top class manager straight away. If he offered them 300m+ in 5 transfer windows a lot of managers would of taken on the challenge.
