But over the course of a season you always drop points against teams you shouldn't unless you are a Manchester City. If we are in the right place in the league then we are not underachieving. We are plodding along at about the right level for a new manager.
So you think the performances in the second half of the derby, Newcastle and Watford are acceptable?

More so the 2 points out of 12 (soon to be likely 15) mate.

Everyone knew the dropped points to Watford and Newcastle would come back to bite us on the backside.

Home games:

West Ham 1-3 L
Huddersfield 1-1 D
Newcastle 1-1 D
Watford 2-2 D

Lets be honest thats a disgrace.

Not all his fault and we definitely need a centre forward and RW in Janaury but still awful results especially being at home.

No one is calling for his head as far as I can see so your being disingenuous imo, lets however not be clueless fan boys like on RAWK who give bans for daring to question the divine.

A disgrace haha. It's frustrating but totally understandable that a new manager will drop points against teams we should be beating. Sadly, it will probably continue happening for a while to come.

No, he didn't say that.

But we're not underachieving.

You have dips of form in the season. We should have done better against Watford and Newcastle.

I don't see how you can say the derby was a bad display either. It was one mistake from being a brilliant point that we were unlucky not to win.

It's a building process.

We're creating chances at the toughest grounds and not putting them away, that's what needs to improve.

You can see our way of playing is better I can see it also as can 90% of Evertonians it is just the few that have no patience and think a click of the fingers gets you a good team challenging. We are all disappointed with a loss but some are so knee jerk they lose all sense of perspective.

Lots of work still needed but feel we are going in the right direction. Just imagine us having an natural instinctive striker and the difference would be massive.

I think they are understandable. We haven't got players to blow teams away. We struggle to score goals. We are the 7th best team in the league for this reason. It's not a sign that you are underachieving because you go through a bad run of form. Look at the season as a whole.

Marco Silva’s win percentage at Hull, Watford and Everton is shocking. At the moment it is too early to say, but I remain far from convinced he is going to be the manager to lead EFC over the long term.

Certainty shades of a charlatan...

Yet after the Derby people could feel the tide was turning in our favour and we were on the verge of something special... Three weeks is a long time hey.

Created much more today than against Newcastle and Watford. We seem to have the ability to create chances against the top sides but I think thats due to them attacking us and not csmping 11 men behind the ball. Lack of finishing is whats costing us agsinst these teams.

Still a bit rushed with the ball at times but its a work in progress and I prefer what im seeing now to what I witnessed under Koeman and Allardyce.

We haven't had a "dip in form" tho. As far as I can remember we STILL haven't had a match where we played great in both halves. That's not necessarily on Silva either, we haven't had one of those since...honestly can't remember.

It's his job to train the team to perform how he wants to play. If you look at the previous 2 matches, he's failing at that.

I'm not saying "sack him" either, as long as we don't drop down the table big time I'm good with this year. If he gets the plaudits he should get the stick as well.

Most of the chances today came when City were two up and content to sit back. I wouldn't pay much notice to that.

Can we create chances against Spurs at home next week when we're really in the game? That's a key indicator.
