It's a remarkable turn around in how we play.. For the most partThink it's a bit harsh to judge him at the minute. Before the rs game everyone was singing his praises bouncing off the walls at what a coup he was. 3 results later and 3 games that we could have easily won all 3 or lost all 3 and hes the man who got relegated again.
He needs time, it's a remarkable turnaround from what we were seeing last season. Him and brands have undoubtedly added real quality to the squad. Again I just think results like today are part of the process as the squad gels.
My main frustration is the same as what it has been for years, it's the tried and tested players that make the mistakes. Today Coleman. Previous seasons jags, baines Howard etc. It feels like the new players get it more than the old guard at the moment. Maybe that's a little unfair on Coleman.
True. Theres more potential with our style now though surely. Bit of luck on our side and we could have quite easily taken between 6 and 7 points from the last 3 games. Last season there was a spell of about 3 games where we didn't make a single goalscoring opportunity if memory serves me correct. It's a remarkable turn around in how we play.. For the most part
But unfortunately not that different in points
There just has to be substance behind the style tho.True. Theres more potential with our style now though surely. Performing better than Marco.
If you were to ask both sets of fans who's happier.. It wouldn't be us.Marco - 6th in the football ladder
Moore - 25th in the ladder, or fifth in a league they should be favourites for behind bang average Norwich, Leeds, Sheffield United and Derby sides
If we don't get 6pts out of the next four games then the pressure will certainly be mounting. The last two games have looked like Martinez 2014/15.
Yes, that’s why I prefaced my comment “suffice to say”...After less than half a season the jury would still be out even if we were in the top 4.
They were dire days indeed...I hope we aren’t regressing to those abysmal depthsThe last two games have looked like Martinez 2014/15.
Disappointing, needing a goal in injury time to scrape out a draw, at home to Watford.Look we're not going to be world beaters overnight. We are coming from a low base, after all.But at the moment it looks like that defeat against that other shower, has knocked the stuffing out of us.
At what point do you say its the players or its the manager.
When the players look clueless in the final third and persistently resort to crosses even though they've little chance of scoring - you start to look to the manager.
I believe Marco and Brands have progressed the side but they are so far from it in the final third.
Its not just about getting a quality striker.
There a real quality players there.
When are we going to see an Everton side play it on the deck with a bit of joie de vivre, with belief, freedom, guile, beauty, smarts.
I'm really questioning whether Silva has a clue about how to break down defences. One or two ways is not going to cut it.
For eg, If he used Lookman-Sig in the right way we could be winning just on penalties.
Arrgh, I'm going to bed.
