Tactically I think he's very shrewd

He also has a pair of grapefruits on him as well, as he went to Anfield and set us up to play our normal game, and for the most part it succeeded

This is a huge thing for me. No 5 at the back BS, no throwing someone like DCl on the wing to help defend set pieces. A first choice 11 and formation he'd play at home to the West Hams of this world.

@MarcelsGoat We shall agree to differ on this matter mate. I'd argue for him personally it was a great success and plays a large part in him being at the, far bigger, club he is at now. Success isn't as black or white as you seem to believe.

If you call getting Hull relegated and getting sacked at Watford excelling, well you have very, very low standards my friend, very low.

Doesnt take away from the very decent job hes doing here, of course, but, im just sayin.

If you mentioned his record prior to joining this league it was very good.
Well balanced and spot on.

I do however like the fella.

Kendall and Catterick I'll give you, though it was before my time. Who else has been a better manager?
It’s early days for Silva and he may well become one of our great managers. But not yet.

Kendall, Catterick and Royle currently all stand above him.

The first two for great successes and building the finest sides this club has ever had. The third for the huge impact he had in only a season and a half. Saved us from relegation, won us our last silverware, and showed the RS that we wouldn’t always fear them.

This guy has some serious nouce going on. I just like how he's changing the attitude and expectation. I do however remember feeling the same about Bobby early on too. Fingers crossed it doesn't go that way.
I think Marco has a lot more about him. He knows when we haven’t been at our best an says so. Bobby would single players out an say they were phenomenal

He had been the same since he came here, 4 good games followed by a blunder that sometimes costs us and sometimes doesent

This doesn't make any sense, at all.

Before Sunday, our form guide was WWWLWDW.

We lost to Man Utd. I was at that game and it wasn't our best performance, but was by no means a managerial blunder - we just weren't as good on the day (and we were a bit unlucky).

The draw was to Chelsea and we kept a clean sheet.

There has been a very evident improvement since Silva got here, the pattern you've mentioned simply doesn't exist, and it feels like you just don't like the guy, especially if you're even mentioning Sam Allardyce (a huge low point for us as a club) in the same breath.

We played well enough, to get something from that game. Then they score a poxy goal, and Klopp is celebrating like they have won the league champions league and grand national all at once. They always seem to benefit, from those freak fluky moments in derby matches.Still though we put a very good rs side under serious pressure, and they were lucky to beat us.It hurts, but we are heading in the right direction.

Isn't that three of the "top 6" managers who've named dropped us in the past week or so in I terviews, klopps was understandable as we played then etc, both mourinho and Emery have done it now recently, from memory think energy was very complimentary about us.

One could suggest it's talking up a team in case they finish above you and it looks not quite as bad...

I was very impressed how he handled the clop question post match. He very calmly pointed out Klopp hadn't apologised to him, he's not impressed or bothered about his behaviour and then that he was proud of the players. I think some (even Mourinho) would have wanted to have a pop. A very calm response.

I also think it's interesting to state, I could not imagine him doing the same at Goodison. I had no problem with what Klopp but asked myself whether I'd imagine Silva doing the same. I can't imagine it. In truth while I'd probably lap it up if he did, a part of me would think it was massively cringey and small time.

He is incredibly calm on the sideline. I watched him at Chelsea and he was stood there, very calm with the occasional clear instruction. At no point did he seemed phased. Pep is very similar.
