Just need to start putting our chances away now banno.

Yes....I hope he and Brands have something up there sleeve in January. I think Brands and Silva are very ambitious and hope Moshiri can continue to back them. We still have quite a few players to get rid of and we will get some funds from outgoings.

The amount of chances we are creating now means a prolific striker could take us a massive step forward.

Bloody get Mina in the side.

6 foot 5 beast who can help at both end of the pitch and he's scared to play him.

I hardly think he's scared to play him, he wouldn't spend 30 odd million on him if that was the case.
Zouma and Keane have been performing well and to bin one of them would be piss-poor man management, something which he obviously excels at.
I thought this was obvious?

I think the club are hedging on Zouma staying because he compliments mind in that he is fast and agile. Mina and Keane are, unfortunately, too similar.

Top win that against a good side
Had real ‘Everton that’ possibilities, this game. Brighton could have won four top flight games in a row for the first time since 1981 or something. Not a chance with our Marco at the helm. Always looked pretty comfortable and scored three highly sexual goals. Early days but thank sweet eff we appear to be developing a style and a bit of backbone.

Agree, fear doesn’t come into it - you don’t break up a central defensive partnership that, broadly speaking, has been working pretty well of late.

And no doubt instills a healthy mentality into the player pushing to earn a first team place, even one who had a great World Cup.
The mental aspect, on the whole, must be hugely beneficial to Zouma, Keane, Mina and event the rest of the team to see that if you are performing, you play. Mina will become a fixture in defence, I have no doubts, but only after he earns it which is exactly how it should be.

Good progress however he needs to get a result or 2 against the top 6 to really show our progression.

Against Chelsea and Liverpool away I dont want to see suicidal attacking football at the expense of basic defensive awareness.

Go into thes games with a tactical approach and do what lesser sides often do to us at home - frustrate, play dirty and utilise the counter and set pieces.

For Chelsea:

Pickford

Holgate Keane Mina

Coleman Gana Gomes Digne

Siggurdsson

Walcott Richarlison

Go 3-5-2 and keep it tight, stop them finding pockets of space to run into and utilise big Yerry from set pieces and also when on the break use the pace of Walcott and Richarlison to hurt them.
That line up will definately not happen.

I would expect the likes of Huddersfield putting out a side like that against the likes of Chelsea.

Thank christ Silva doesnt think like that , he will put out a team that makes the opposition worry about us and rightly so.

Same team as today but Mina in for Zooma.More of the same Marco please.

Great for the manager to finally have the options isn’t it. Keane has been doing great recently and Zouma has been reasonably solid too. Mina has it all to do to squeeze one of them out, and Chelsea will be as good a chance as he’ll get to show his stuff. I love Jagielka for his service, but he’s not even part of the CB conversation any more. We’re getting stronger. ;)

And we get dry bummed 3-1

We havent a. The strikeforce or b. the midfield taking their chances to go toe to toe away from home against the likes of Man City and Chelsea... yet.

At home with GP behind us by all means but the top managers earn their crust by knowing when to box clever- unless your one of Bobby Brown Shoes Disciples who would rather a 4-2 loss than a 1-1 draw...

No mate
The "knife to a gunfight" stopped the day Marco Silva walked in the door.

After years of getting "dry bummed" even with 10 men behind the ball , we now have a team that can and will go toe to toe with any team home or away....I'm loving it.
