We were still bedding people in and getting used to his tactics, they seem to be sinking in and I believe we are growing stronger by the week, it's a lot better than it was at least.
It's all about results, scraping a draw against Huddersfield just isn't good enough,we could easily have been two down to Fulham, playing better football is all well and good but it doesn't get you up the table.

No but it's not like we are running around without direction is the point I am making. You can see tactics, you can see the change in intensity and you can slowly see confidence returning to a lot of lads who were terrible last year. It's all bit by bit coming together. I'll see where we end up but we seem on the right track so far.

Playing good football and dropping points isn't the right track.

I just found it all getting a bit tedious entering a season knowing we were ending trophyless before a ball kicked. The English game never used to be like that it's what kept it exciting if not as technical as other leagues now an Elite has been created which we can never seem to break into and for me it's sucked the life out of the game a bit.

when has it ever been like that? There has always been dominant teams. Nothing has changed at all.

Yeah but we are on more points than at this stage last season. And we aren’t getting hammered by the top teams like we were last year either. Dropping a few points in the managers first 10 games at the club when he hasn’t had his full squad to pick from and had had 6 new players to bed in is the right track. We scraped a lot of points under Allardyce and served up some horrible football, that’s gone and there is a positivity around the club that was lost.

Well, seeing as I wasn't expecting us to have won every game, I think overall it evens out into on the right track, as in room for improvement but nowhere near as bad as last year. I'm feeling optimistic, cba bashing him for no reason and i'm not overly praising him. I think I've covered all bases on my standpoint, thanks.

Same.

One of the reasons I love NFL. Every team should have a chance of glory, not just a few. That's the essence of sport.

I find the Champs League as exciting as watching paint dry.

I'm not sure why people get misty eyed over the NFL The Patriots have contested 50% of the super bowls in the last 10 years and quite a few before that. There are still dominant sides in the NFL

Patience Bernie, the staff have not been here 12 month yet, they do need to be given a bit of a lee way before throwing the toys out of the pram.

up until the premier league we never had what you would call a 2 team league like spain or 3 team league like italy or a one team league like germany, you were made to work a lot harder to win the league now we do have a 2 team league but a 6 team m ini league and everyone else is making up numbers and just providing their best players for the top 6. If you don't think the Premier league has changed English footy then not much i can say really.

4 in the 80's
4 in the 90's
3 in the oo's
4 in the current decade

Lets wait until the end of today's game shall we.This is a game we really should win (as was Huddersfield).Fingers crossed we get the right result.

Unfortunately, from 1972 to 1992 Liverpool won eleven out of twenty Division One championships and were runners in seven more of them - 18 out of 20.

In that time, only ourselves (two), Arsenal (two), Leeds (two), Forest (one), Villa (one) and Derby (one) won a title and many were sporadic runners up or third.

The top tier of English football hasn't been overly competitive for a long time now, bar a few changes here and there along with a generational change.

Ok nothing has changed, the old first division is just like the premier league. Not a conversation i'm wishing to prolong if i'm honest, I only mentioned how i was falling out of love with footbal, i wasn't welcoming a debate about how football has never changed.

Ok I redact all my statements, the premier League is ace and not short on quality making me go off it a bit. apologies to all concerned.
