In spite of the defeat, Marco Silva was satisfied with the pre-season tournament held by Everton in the Algarve. The Liverpool emblem coach said that this was a good opportunity to draw conclusions and also talked about the market, revealing the interest of the Toffees in Richarlison and Lucas Digne.
"It was very important this tournament, from there having changed the pre-season to play with teams of higher quality and increase the competition to draw conclusions. Already had, served to confirm, this is far from being our team. With the players that arrived from the World Cup and the changes we are going to make, it was important for us. We did some good things, especially today, in the first 35 minutes, "he told SportTv .
The Portuguese coach showed some dissatisfaction for not having any reinforcement for the next season.
"It is not the ideal scenario, it is not normal, after we have three weeks of pre-season, we have not signed a single player. We want to hit it, it's not easy. Practically we have to make two pre-times, sometimes it seems that the market in England is easy but it is not. Sometimes you have to spend very high values, some players have been elected since the beginning of the season. We lost one or the other to major clubs, but they have to get there, we need four or five players, "he shot.
Of those four or five, Richarlison and Lucas Digne are players wanted by Marco Silva.
"There are two possibilities, I will not hide. These are strong hypotheses. Richarlison is an excellent player and Digne is not by chance who is where [Barcelona] is. Hopefully, it's not easy. "

He is doomed to fail if Moshiri and Brands dont sort it out. Not many fans wanted him and GP will Boo the heck out of him if he has an up and down season.

We need 4-5 in asap or its going to be a long season of calamity goals conceeded and no attacking threat/creativity.

Patience.
We can't afford more disruption, more chopping and changing. I want us to win the league as much as the next man, but if next year we simply avoid being an embarrassment it will be an improvement and a start of some welcome stability to build upon.

Im all for giving him time but you and me both know GP will be on his back if we have another season like last and its out of his hands with the current glaring problems in the squad.

I said it all summer if he doesnt get 3-4 in at minimum we'll struggle this season again.

To be fair I think he’ll be allowed more time if it’s obvious the board have let him down, especially because he’ll actually be trying to play football. No matter what it’ll be far better to watch than last season I’m sure.

Couple of comments he’s made now seem to indicate a bit of frustration at the board/maybe even Brands? Maybe I’m misconstruing it. They just better get a move on and tie some deals up for him.
