Worrying times already. This gang of jokers are not capable of organising themselves and lack the quality to win games on an individual basis. They need drilling as they were under Allardyce and Moyes before him. It’s notable that Martinez has had some success with Belgium without having to drill or force the players to play a rigid system (not that he’s capable of or interested in doing that anyway), all because they have some great players.

If for some reason Silva is cut from the same cloth as Martinez then we are facing massive problems and he’ll be out by Christmas.

Yea they are subs by the time we get the new playes in. Baines, Williams, Jags and Stek would be gone by next summer as their contracts expire.

Have said several times changing the manager isn't enough... Silva would have been sacked last season had he got the job in November..... Our players simply aren't good enough and we need atleast 4 or 5 signings this summer.... Even that won't be enough, this is a long term rebuild over at least 4 transfer windows...

Jags, Williams, Baines, Mirallas, Sandro, Klaasen, Bolasie, Niasse, Keane, Sneiderlin, Martina, McCarthy, Besic... That's 13 players that need replacing to begin with, and still we need a another quality striker....
 
Does the cull begin tomorrow?
Silva said that he would start his clear out after making up his mind on players at the Algarve tournament.
Suspect we may see a couple coming in before any departures.
I can see us having a fire sale by Friday, the only problem is that clubs will only be interested in the players we want to keep.

We won’t sign 13 players but I reckon only 1 of them will be start vs Wolves. Most of them are irrelevant and will be bombed out.
