He'd had some muscular injuries to his thighs and hamstrings already which is usually not a good sign and Delph's history is well known.
We've definitely been unlucky but does some of it come down to the choice of player?
tbf mate it's 2 bouts of sickness on top of Gbamin, Gomes, Delph, Morgan injuries. Its just typical Everton luck that even when it's time to tuck into the u23's midfield, Beni is injured as well.
We have 7 or 8 players out .

It could happen to any player it's just really unlucky imo for Gbamin and wasn't helped when Silva forced him on with barely any pre season when we had Davies on the bench.
Delph played 25 games last season, He can definitely be a bit sicknote at times but for 8.5m it was a worthy signing, Any team with 5-6 first team midfielders injured/sick would struggle it's hard to blame anyone at all.

Still not enough, should have kept every player sold in the last 18 months and had a super mega bloated squad on the highest and crippling wage bill in the league
Based on our current injury list I'd say a 45 man squad and a request to the FA to be allowed to make 7 subs who can come on/off as and when required
