Following Spurs win over United at Old Trafford on Saturday, Chris Foy has been demoted to league 2 match Accrington Stanley v Rochdale this weekend.
Ferguson made post-match remarks on Foy's performance including, laughably, one regarding stoppage time.

This is the latest in a series of referee demotions/unofficial punishments after United have lost at home.

  • Mike Dean was demoted to the championship after Chelsea beat United 1-2 at Old Trafford.
  • Mike Dean has yet to ref at Old Trafford since Blackburn beat United 2-3.
  • Mark Clattenberg has yet to referee at Old Trafford either, since Man City beat them 1-6.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY!

Or something to think about.

He made a right tit of himself on the weekend

"They gave us four minutes [injury time], that's an insult to the game. It denies you a proper chance to win a football match."

Pretty sure Spurs still found the time to win a football match, Sir Alex

Harsh on the Ref, what did he do so wrong?

Im surprised there hasn't been more said about this. Its perhaps the most ludicrously arrogant statement i'v ever heard in football.

I don't for one minute buy into this rawk like crap about ref's being biased or being deliberately underhanded.... decisions go for and against teams every season and always will....... just because the RS play crap it's suddenly fergies fault ??? Rawk today were actually trying to blame fergie for the 6 mins added time at the QPR game last night ??? how the feck can he have any influence on that game.... it's delusion at it's highest.

After watching refs change penalties to corners, and yellow cards to red, to benefit our lovely neighbours, I'm not concerned about the lesser numbers of decisions that Utd get

didn't watch the game but was he right to award only 4 mins? i seriously don't see why football can't stop the clock for injuries like they do in rugby. it would cut out all this time wasting bull**** that goes on, especially when a goalkeeper keeps doing that thing in the 86th minute where they all of a sudden keep taking goal kicks from the other side of the box and halt in their run up. we as fans would genuinely be paying to watch an hour and a half of football, as opposed to the 80ish mins we usually see --- people won't moan about added time then.

also i haven't heard anything about that linesman from the newcastle game being demoted. refs are going to refuse to ref a game at OT if this keeps happening, refs should be demoted if they make glaring errors but not if they got the additional minutes wrong by about 30 seconds, how ferguson can't see they've benefited from dubious amounts of stoppage time is beyond me

He's just one of the most sore losers in the entire football world, I dislike Utd a fair bit, I'm really waiting for them to burst, most argue them being one of the biggest teams in football... I'm pretty sure they can't keep up with this debt for much longer...

Of course he can see. He's just a bad popcorn merchant.
