Yeah and we had the other extreme with the fella that came before where we'd go and lose 4-0. Why can't we just get a manager with a plan to keep it tight but also have a plan on how to win?. Is it too much to ask for?.
Seems like it but even being defensive hasn't recently protected us from that sort of scoreline so if going to get beat I'd at least prefer we try to take some shots on their goal as well rather than looking so totally terrified from the outset.

As much as it pains me to say it, Baines cannot play as a wing back in this formation.

Martina is a liability as well and this formation is all about your wing backs.

We struggle to play our way forward with 5 at the back. Playing 3 center backs and 2 defensive mids is just giving us a handicap as well, it pulls the whole shape deeper as that's where they play their game.

The formation isn't the problem but it is all round pegs in a square holes. The 4-2-3-1 is no better as the front four have shown they have no idea and keep stepping on each other's toes.

He's just going through the motions but none of the formations and starting XIs he's played in any of the matches so far have seen us look like a half way competent attacking force. I think he's out of ideas.
