I asked Ian Ross why the man u game is at noon and the reply ' police advice' my opinion is how far can our loyal fans be pushed around after all we dont all live on m'side?

lol......... Police advice, if you went to the night time FA cup match a few years back you will know why its an early kick off. There was a horrid nasty air that night, all thanks to a fat waster of a granny humper.

Not the clubs fault, do you honestly think the players want to get up [Poor language removed] early and prepare for a game.

its to try and stop people like Anddy nicholls and other pricks kickin off.

The fact that pubs open earlier to accomodate the early kick off defeats the objective

For more years than I can remember,ALL clubs have a section of so called fans who are not the slightest interest in the match just want trouble.Years ago when I was younger we used to drink in a pub opposite Stanley park,I think it was the Abbey any how every home game a gang of thugs would collect there ready to cause trouble.at one game in particular my mate could not get a ticket so hung around outside the ground then got outside the pub about half an hour before the match ended or the pub opened and there they where same faces every week, all these hard lads( hard while in a gang)SO the game meant nothing to them, the lads im talking about are too old to fight now but you hear them in the pubs bragging and younger thugs think they will have a go at and so it goes on sad but hard to stop ,What punishment is a football Ban when they dont go the game:@

Oh I know it happens everywhere, it was the big war after the game when rooney came back for the first time that has prompted these early kick offs against United. It's a shame, as we will never be able to experience a night again like the game where we beat them 1-0 big duncs header.

Early kick offs result in a subdued atmosphere as everyones still half asleep (n)(n)

All due to thuggery

Is there any "hard gangs" today before the games? I am going to the EFC-mutd game but I certainly won't hope to go to the wrong pubs before the game - is there any in particular that one should avoid?

the ones nearest to the ground are fine (based on my experience). The Winslow on goodison road (opposite the main stand) has a boss atmosphere before the match. Royal oak is good too. I don't go in the pubs often as I drive to the games though but the times I have been in there I haven't seen any trouble.

OK. I'm from Denmark and visiting Goodison for the first time. A good fella from in here recommended "The Clock" - but as I might have time to surf 2 or 3 I'd like to get as most of the atmosphere on a biggame day as possible. I've heard of a Dixie Dean statue close to the stadium that I want to take a picture of as well.

the early kick-off might work out to our advantage, good luck getting roo to wake up that early, and theres a good chance he'll be playing with a massive hangover. of course, we'll have to worry about the same thing with VDM, but thats a tradeoff i'm willing to accept.

ossie is a pisshead :D

The police will meet the utd fans of the train and hold them in witherspoon's in town, then escort them straight to the ground, so wouldn't worry to much about drinking close to the ground.(y)

someone said earlier in the thread we won't experience a night game like the dunc 1-0 game cos of what happened in the fa cup game. the dunc league game was after that so why wasn't that game switched to a weekend for 12pm ko? there's always hope of a night game, maybe next year in league cup or this year in fa cup replay.

setanta should've picked this game up!!!
