It sets us up beautifully for next season Dave. Last week was poor. If we had started the first 6 league games like we have finished the last 6 this season we'd be up there with Newcastle. What we did in january we should have done pre season.

To be honest mate, if it got Moyes a contract at a new club that would be well worth it.

Fantastic game. Never gave up, and while in the grand scheme of things it means nothing it was bloody fantastic and a joy to watch. It was a game which had us feeling every emotion and one which shows those around us that Everton don't just roll over and give up.

Unless its against Liverpool

Our football was excellent today pass and move in the final third. Why can't we play like this every week, if we would have played like this last week, we would have been looking forward ta a final now.

Because usually cahill is stuck in the middle of it all. We always play better football when he doesnt play!

Thank [Poor language removed] for that! Walked past a pub on my way home from work and it was 3-1....got home and it was 4-4. Incredible! Just the tonic I needed after last week's debacle at Wembley. I thought I would be depressed forever:( I hope this means that we will play positive, attacking football from now on(y)

I shouldn't have just wandered over to RAWK. Guess which team they're all toasting right now? Yes, Everton.

We just gave them a big boost in limiting their losses to 19 United titles.

Who in their right ****ing mind wanted that at the start of the day?

"We don't care what the Red ****e say, what the **** do we care"...oh wait guys, stop, Davek cares...

Grand scheme of things what does it change for us? I mean there's the thrill of a fightback for a few hours but then what? It means nothing in the end for us. All it means t the rest of the world is a spanner in the works of United's title chances.

We dont get the SF back again and it doesn't mean Europe and it doesn't mean we attract better players or a takeover.

Some truth in all that mate, but I'm still very happy with today's result. Not only did we fight for a point but we showed some ambition in the game. Who knows, maybe Moyes will start to believe in his players ability a bit more ... yea, I know, he'll almost certainly revert to type when the chips are down, but today, I'm going to celebrate.

Classic Moyes banter 'I've never set a team up to sit back'

Our team did try to win it from the 1st minute and we came for a win moyes said  ,cant argue the way we started, but our 1st goal woke man utd up big time, when it goes 1-1,i expected the worst, but to come from 3-1 down and 4-2 at OT is some result

FFS guys. FFS!

FFS.

A great comeback in the last 20 minutes or so, you've got to hand it to the guys.

Having said that, i saw little of the first half and not much of the second. Downloaded Sopcast 3.5 for the second half and the stream seemed a lot more stable, but missed some of game looking at this thread. Then this site froze up when i tried to post after the equaliser, after which my whole pc froze, so i missed the rest of the match including Howard's save. I think i'll be doing a defrag on the pc imminently.

Interesting, DM, how much better we are when we play ATTACKING football, isn't it? However, you will probably have forgotten this again come next week.

That really is an excellent and well-deserved point. I swear Man Utd. do dirty deals under the covers to influence matches, they get too many dodgy decisions in their favour, and it's great that despite the ref being on their side they came unstuck. For that reason alone i don't want to see them win another Premiership trophy, even though they probably will, so can't understand why so many on here do. Having said that Man Utd. are a joy to watch coming forward, and always have been under SAF.

My MOTM: Marouane Fellaini, a true DOG OF WAR - tireless running, he seems to have been inspired by the Straq. Tons of skill too. It's now obvious that Nikica Jelavic has been one of DM's most inspired buys, a quality striker we've sorely needed since Yakubu lost form for us. Finally, it's now absolutely essential imo that we re-sign Stephen Pienaar, our one real playmaker and, with the departure of Drenthe, the player most, er, likely to do the unpredictable.

Dead right he will mate. Which is why I posed the question 'what does it change?' It wont mean an end to sterile tactics. Not a bit of it.

The pressure was of and he committed to attack from 4-2 down. That mentality will always persist with him.
