Change the formation, Bring on another striker, Use Kagawa instead of 40 year old Giggs

Top manager are there to read a game and change the team/tactics as the game develops

All their strikers were on the pitch. Who's to say Kagawa would've got them the points? It might've lost them the draw.

It's easy with the comfort of hindsight to say what he should've done

Moyes will destroy Kagawa. He should go back to Dortmund, he's won his EPL now... go and challenge for the CL because he wont with United

United could have played 6 strikers last night and still not scored....Chelsea set up not to lose and got the point they came for with a very disciplined defensive attitude.... Some people just want exciting games with loads of goals.... That game was very tactical and a wrong sub either way could have cost either side a point.

The different between Fergie and Moyes is that Fergie will go for it in the last 20 minutes where Moyes becomes a tight get in the last 15 minutes and wont gamble.

In my opinion it would have made no difference what he did attacking wise last night. If we are being honest it was two very good teams who cancelled each other out.

Probably won't need to gamble too much in the last 15 minutes - expect them to win 26 draw 10 and lose 2 (or thereabouts) - 88 points or so. Might draw a few but lose less.

it was his first game? against Chelsea? the consequences if he lost would of been huge. 'In declie, he can't handle the job' would of be branded out by the media and the anti-moyes brigade would of bee ou tin full force. He has so much to loose in his first competetive game. He played with 3 strikers for goodnesssake.

Fergie on the other hand had nothing to loose. Yeah loosing the game wasn't idea lbut if he lost he knew pressure would be on existant because of what he's achieved unlike moyes who everyone wants to fail

Lose not loose.

1 - Moyes didint play hoof ball at our place, he used it at times. Sort of a plan b, which he resorted to when chips were down.
2 - It was his general negative approach to games that was anoying. NOt going for it with 15 mins to go etc. Like for like subs
3 - Like it or not, he defended well, and his teams will defend as a Unit. 10 men behind the ball
4 - IMO it was turning point 3 into attack, that was his main problem, and RVP getting isolated showed the same problems.
5 - Moyes likes to use his full backs as the main starting point of attacks.

I saw all of these still evident in the United game. If he can change some of these, then he will do well.
