I could potentially see Silva swapping to a more traditional 4-3-3 formation with a deeper lying midfielder than Siggurdsson

A midfield 3 of Gana, Williams and Gomes maybe?

The three behind the striker would rotate throughout the game and I cant see Siggurdson drifting out wide to do that. Modern attacking wingers tend to be able to play anywhere in that sort of attacking-midfield part of the pitch these days.

Also a 433 flat probably doesnt see Siggurdsson play.

I hear you but 15 goals is not to be sniffed at. I just cannot see bernard creating nearly as much

Bernard can create plenty, i watched some highlights last season and the amount of positive stuff he did was fine. You'd obviously miss Siggy's goals though, even though Bernard definately has more to give in frnot of goal, he's not hitting 10-15. There are games that require a little bit more intelligence and creativity though and sometimes I feel Siggy can go missing.

With the age policy we have in place now I can see another #10 being purchased next Summer if we are still doing a 4231 system.

This could be the first season in my lifetime that we're going to have a strong 11 and a real strong bench so rotation and competition for places will be a thing.

If it all goes as rumoured, we will have a mad squad for the first time in the modern football era.

Also don’t subscribe to Goat’s view of Williams but very much doubt he’ll be an integral part of a midfield 3 this season.

If we go 4-3-3 Sigurdsson will either have to adapt or we’ll go with Davies. Expect to see Williams get a run out in the early cup games if he doesn’t go on loan though.
