WEMBLEY CUP FINAL TICKET ALLOCATIONS

Now tell me it's not about money.

if Everton were in the final I would be proper fuming.

Less than half going to the fans. The rest to corporate fat cats. And they wonder where the touts get the tickets. Not rocket science, is it.

Its every year. Yet on the day, the ground is usually pretty much 50/50 somehow.

I got tickets for the 80s cup finals from the Nottingham Referees Association somehow!

Every county FA can get up to 4 tickets for the FA cup final, they have to order them in September. It is a kind of reward for all the work unpaid people do for football in their particular city, town, village or county wide. Anyone associated with football in an area can ask their local FA for a chance to get tickets. I got 2 for our final against Chelsea as I ran school football teams for 15 years. If the tickets from an association gets into the hands of touts and there is a complaint they get barred from getting any more tickets.

It made me sick seeing the prawn sandwich brigade in the Arsenal-Wigan semi final only half filling their allocation on each side of the dugouts. Those people should be banned from attending football matches in my opinion, they're just there to be seen there while a worthy fan who would go there and sing their heart out for their team has to watch on TV.

Surely there's another way to reward people who do these jobs. Free tickets to England games that won't sell out? Really unfair on the supporters to get such a paltry allocation for the final.

My '84 ticket has Brighton & Hove Albion stamped on the back, I got it off a Blue that lived in Newcastle (next door neighbours brother) who had to work that day.

It was for in the Watford End next to the tunnel but I went in our end with it.
