COLOMBIANSSSS!!! COLUMBIA IS IN NORTH AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I've watched him since he was very young since he's from the coast and began with the Colombian side I follow, Junior de Barranquilla. It didn't seem to work out that well for him there, and when he moved to Cucuta FC he led an unfashionable nothing side (although narco funded) to the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores and everyone thought he was going to be our next Carlos Valderrama. Boca Juniors wanted him but he ended up in Chile playing for Colo, but his career didn't really pan out like we hoped. Good, but not great. Ended up back in Colombia in Medellin and was loaned to a Mexican side.
But he's a good, disciplined attacking midfielder who also can defend and is our playmaker for the national side at the moment. And between us and Argentina, we're the top of the qualifiers for South America. Doesn't get much recognition as he's surrounded by James Rodriguez, Falcao, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado. He's certainly effective for us, but I get the feeling we're waiting for this Maradona-esque youth Juan Pablo Quintero to replace him and take the reigns of the #10 for the national side in our never ending wait for the next Pibe Valderrama.
As I said I rate him as very good, but not great, but could actually do quite well next to Fellaini and your severely underrated Osman. I'd love to see what he could do in England. He definitely has what it takes given the right circumstances. He's pretty much at his peak, so now's the time. I hadn't heard of the England interest, but good luck if comes over, and I'd definitely be watching a lot more of Everton if he does sign.
