Macedonia v Ireland

Dublintoff

Player Valuation: £15m

Tough trip for the boys in green this evening, with 3 points badly needed so as not to fall behind russia and slovakia who have games they would be expected to win today.

I hate playing these type of teams away as they are generally good at keeping possesion and the heat may come into play with our kick and rush style. Missing Kevin Doyle, Richard Dunne and even the likes of James McCarthy really weakens our chances and a starting 11 who are hardly regulars for their respective teams doesnt fill me with confidence, but heres hoping, an early lead will go a long way to a very pivotal victory.

Starting 11.

Did Seamus make the bench?

Have not seen the bench yet RAFUH but i dont think he will as Trapatoni has other favourites who can play on the right who may get the nod instead. Would love to see it myself, as his running could prove a good weapon late in the game if we need to get something.

With Russia and Slovakia both likely to win tonight , this becomes a must win for us .

By no means an easy game for us , but i reckon wel sneak a 1-0. COME ON IRELAND .

I wish Trapp would be a bit less boring and play Seamus from the get go. Nevertheless he could be a good impact sub.

But with Keane fit, who's been in excellent form internationally, I think we stand a good chance here.

We're brutal but to be fair we know it, i think its time Trapp went persoanlly the shenangans that have gone in the past couple of weeks make one thing clear, the players dont respect him and dont want ot play for him.

Expecting this to be a really tough game, we're no strangers to nightmares at Macedonia way! Cost us place in the world cup or euro - or some other glories defeat qualifying tournament we missed out through goal difference.

If you don't want to lose he's the man for the job...

unless you want to win.

He makes Moyes look like Ian Holloway.

I think he has lost the players mate, his time is up for me, to be honest i would go back and give it to McCarthy.

I hate Mick McCarthy, like, so I'd rather it not be him.

But that said... I'd cope with Rafael Benitez being Ireland manager if it meant seeing them in a major international tournament again. Although we were dealt a harsh blow with the WC, mind.

FFS mate, just say no to drugs!

I would emigrate.

* Goes all Ghost lol!

I don't care who's at the helm mate if it means seeing Coleman and the Irish lads in the Euros, or even better, WC.

Has Kilbane retired/died yet, by the way?

I honestly would take out honudran nationality if Rafael was let in the country never mind get anywhere near manageing our Football team.

Quite possibly mate, hes at LB tonight, hes laying a wreath tomorow as the last surviving person of the great famine.
