Oviedo is injured too much to be relied upon.

Fair enough we'll agree to disagree

But personally don't recall seening Oviedo have a bad game for us and think he is generally excellent - even this year when coming back from injury and a long layoff De Gea needed to make a superb save to stop him scoring. Not even going to comment on selling Baines before Garbutt ;)

Two of the three injuries that have reduced Oviedo's game time the past two seasons have been a broken leg and a broken foot - Ross has the same two injuries plus a MCL yet don't see you calling him injury prone.

Perhaps Bry was weak bones or perhaps he is just unlucky, very hard to judge on such a small sample size.

Could be right, time will tell. Perhaps im just getting used to seeing players like Gibson always injured.

On Baines, if martinez went and spent big on a 22 yr old left back then i dont think there would be as much resistance to him being replaced. He's no spring chicken and in 2 years Garbutt would only be 23/24 and Baines about 33...tricky one.

He's as good as gone by the looks of it Unfortunately which is a shame.

There's no doubt he needs to be playing every week now to progress but Why he feels he needs to leave to do this as apposed to going out on loan is a bit of a mystery.

This is one that will come back to haunt us I feel.

......would you sign for £40k per week if somebody else will pay at least that, give you a lump sum of £1m+ and the real opportunity for Premiership football week in week out. Doubt it.
No way he'd get 1mil signing on fee. TBH wouldnt want us trying to match that kind of money for someone so unproven

He isn't available on a free - he's under age so his fee will be set by tribunal and could be as much as £4m.

He isn't getting a sizeable signing on fee in the same way a regular Bosman signing would.

There was a 3 year plan in place for him he knew it was down to him to sign, the offers on the table can see this being another gosling.. He's the one not signing
