He was so ecstatic about the win, very enthusiastic congratulations to all his teammates and lifted Besic off his feet in a big bear hug ;)

Been particuarly impressed with his attitude recently, especially given the loss of his childhood friend.

Didn't see that LL but I tell you what, Joel looked like a kid in a candy shop at the end. He was absolutely buzzing. Not sure if that was his first win as an Everton player ( not sure if he played in any cup game we won last season? ). Definitely his first 3 points as a player. Gareth Barry looked a relieved man at the end as well!!

I was reading the match thread and seeing the abuse Lukaku was getting after being on the scoresheet. Some people just have it in for Lukaku no matter what. What is that 11/12 goals for a 21 year old halfway through a season? That is the an absolute fantastic return. Baring no injuries he is well on course for having 15+ goals and to reiterate for a 21 year old in a struggling team. If he was scouse and came through the ranks he would be talked about like a god.
Right some aspects of his footballing skill are far from Alan Ball to say the most but call me superficial, as long as he keeps up his general goalscoring he can walk around the pitch doing a Monty Python Silly Walk. I still wouldn't complain.

I have learned not to take much notice of the match thread. Its so negative....even if we were winning 5-0 at half time you would have some people moaning and criticising that we should be 8-0 up and blaming Lukaku, Martinez etc. The match thread is not a happy place at any time unless we are beating a top 4 team. Lukaku is a goalscorer first and foremost and is doing that job fine but it cannot please the depressants.

Lukaku is a top player. His overall game will improve, but his scoring record is already far better than you would expect for a man of his age. Really important player that we need to make the most of while he is here.
