Aye. Just like with Liverpool and Suarez people have been going a bit crazy on the currency switching. £ ≠ € FFS.
I'd be fine with us paying £24M or whatever €30M is, anything under £25M is a decent price

The hold up will be over how Everton are trying to structure the payments. Elstone's favourite line re transfers is 'buy slowly over time in small instalments; sell high and demand it all up front'.

The club's parsimony is holding this up. And all the time the season draws nearer.
