Starting to do my head in now people quoting Bony scoring more as some valid reason why he's an obvious better buy, newsflash Bony takes pens, Lukaku doesn't and i think thats a 5 goal difference right their, give Lukaku pen duty and he'd be close to 20 and ahead of Bony

Lukaku does get service from better players though.

Just to add a counter point.

Mate seriously, I've been posting on here for nearly 3 years, about 11,000 posts and my avatar is fecking Barkley, do you really think I'm a Chelsea fan?
I'll be honest mate, I'm dead tired, and still enjoying the City game, didn't really look at the name or anything, just posting responses to my alerts... When one of them said... 'As a Chelsea fan', I'll admit it, a support based pigeon hole appeared and I didn't question it :)

Fk me, you could of done me out of 20mil, glad I'm not trying to filter out the genuine buyers from Manchester bedsit holders for our club, we could be in a heap of trouble.

Another thing to take into account is mentality, time will tell, will he step up in a penalty shoot out or will he [Poor language removed] out

Only pen I've seen him take was god awful actually in the super cup, mentality wise though seems a solid lad especially for his age, but then again I'm a big fan of him in comparison with Bony who I think is a tad overrated like

I think we also need to look at Lukaku as an investment - Its a good one. Say we buy Lukaku for 20M, as he is only 20 and clearly a lad with a lot of talent, we will be able to sell him on for a profit (unless he turns out gash which isn't going to happen).
Where as a player like Bony, yes only 25, but in 5 years we won't be able to make our money back on him.

I think buying Lukaku (if we can) is a no brainier, as we are virtually guaranteed to get our money back on him if we sell at a later date. Oh and he is boss
