Lukaku Agent at it again

Everton have put a £45million price tag on Romelu Lukaku in an attempt to ward off potential buyers next summer.

They signed the Belgium striker from Chelsea for £28m in 2014 and the 22-year-old has enhanced his reputation with 44 goals for the club, including 16 while on loan at Goodison Park during the 2013-14 season.

Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are believed to be interested. Lukaku is happy at Everton, but is likely to review his future at the end of the season.

Worth more than 45ml
Age, goal ratio and overall threat to me put shin in the 50ml bracket

Especially if we are talking about him going to the likes of PSG

Whatever we think of Rom, clubs who could afford him will be looking at his first touch and movement in the area and I'd reckon they would consider it too much of a gamble. With a step up into champions league it's not just the players providing service that improve its also the standard of defences. And there won't be many clubs who would decide they should change their style to accommodate Rom.
If he really learns to always compensate for an inconsistent first touch by protecting the ball with his strength and gets a bit cleverer with runs in and around the box, then we have our best striker since Sharp.
You'd hope he'd still be concentrating on getting as good as he can be than thinking where he can go because I really think he's at as big a club as he deserves at moment. And one where he's given the support to improve.

With the amount of money we're gonna get next summer to strengthen we're not really in a position to need to accept bids of £45-50m if we don't want to. If say a PSG are out there for a new striker for when Zlatan leaves I'd be rather surprised if they turned to Lukaku over someone proven like Higuain or Benzema.

Why does everyone forget that every other club in the Premiership gets TV money too? All that happens is that Clubs have to bid way more players as everyone else puts their prices up

We won't be selling lukaku cheap, certainly not for 45 million. Not too sure why people buy into these sorts of nonsense stories!

He is a striker who since a teenager has scored at least 15 goals a season, has pace, strength, confidence and is a full international. He Will be worth a lot more to potential suitors than the media are saying because quality wise he is better than stones.

also will people judge him on his first touch? No, they will judge him on his goalscoring record which has been outstanding for years.

£50m and I'd sell him.

It's pretty clear he doesn't see a long term future here, these comments are all too frequent to think otherwise. Hopefully we get another couple of seasons of him before he goes to one of the biggest clubs, like top tier not Paris or nouveau Riche like that.

because you seem to think that the massive increase in TV money will make some sort of difference to our relative position. It only will if we don't have to buy a player.

Erm no... my point was that the amount we'll receive in the summer will eradicate any last notions of "we have to sell, we need the money" thus meaning we're not in a position we might have been to accept ~£40m for Lukaku. We could then drive the price up and I suspect the bigger teams would go elsewhere.

This is all regardless of how much we as a team spend. We might buy 3 players before a Lukaku bid comes in but it in no way shows any visibility to our financial worth next summer. Logical really.

And, my point is the 'going rate' for wages will simply go up across the squad to match the massive rise in money and any replacement striker we could find would cost £15M-£20M more when the money kicks in, leaving us in exactly the same place.
yes, we don't need to sell to buy, but then we wouldn't need to buy if we didn't sell him.
