Digne is undoubtedly talented and has a wand of a left foot but in my opinion he has been coasting for a long time. His opinions over the summer saying he believed in the Everton project after we slumped to a mid table finish and lost a top quality manager just stunk of someone settling for mediocrity.

And if the rumours are true that he is sulking because he is being asked to be more defensive minded, is just ridiculous considering his first job is to defend. And tbh he can't do it.

We've had games on a knife edge. Like villa, he was the worst player on the pitch and responsible for 2 of their goals.

The argument I've seen around him is that he hasn't been this bad for previous managers. I also don't think this is true. He was very average for the second half of the season under ancelotti and he's one of the first to have his head drop when things aren't going his way.

Rodriguez hardly played and when he did, he had about 3 or 4 minutes, I would agree with you if we had seen more of him, or if he looked @rsed.
