He was our highest rated player last game.

People are weird, if hes not banging them in from 40 yards they think hes had a bad game.

If he would stop smacking crosses into the Gwlayds and hitting the knee of the first man on corners, then I could maybe took those stats seriously!

He has been very bad in the last 3 home games.

Mad that some of the same people saying you can’t have a go at the manager are quite happy to pile in on a bloke who’s been consistently very good and seemingly a model pro since he came. I mean obviously it’s fine to call out poor performances but this revisionism that he just isn’t good is really weird.
Imagine if you were good at your job but you worked somewhere where half of the workforce were lazy, and 40% were rubbish at their job. Do you think it would affect your performance levels?

The current tactics don't suit him. If we had balance on the right hand side everything wouldn't be so congested and he would be more of a threat. Teams basically know if you stop Digne you cut a lot of out threat out. If we get back to 4-3-3 he will come good again.

Digne has an absolutely thankless task. You can see the shirkers in the team abdícate all responsibility and just shift it left to him, he then has no player in front of him to play with so has to just swing a hopeful one in. He needs a partner. When Bernard got game time a couple of years back Lucas looked brilliant. We need to help him. Imagine him and a prime Pienaar.

Has he tweeted his own fantastic stats yet?

"Everton lost but look I passed more than my teammates"

His only social update after that 5-0 defeat...
