Delighted with this. Remains to be seen how he settles in etc, but nobody can have any complaints.

Loving the fact that we have a transfer strategy now. Things coming together.

Agreed very happy, however, not so much strategy but just glaringly obvious weakness that any Evertonian worth their salt have wondered why this was not looked at last season etc. So I’m holding back on the lauding plaudits of transfer strategy geniuses, they are just doing the basics currently, by addressing long known imbalances..

Top signing which instantly improves our first XI, just like Richarlison. If it takes this long to complete this type of transfer then so be it, I'd rather we get quality than panic and buy guff like last summer, even if that means going into the season with the likes of Keane and Schneiderlin. Hopefully it won't come to that though.

Silva did say words to this effect. Basically any signings we make would need to be quality ones whom would instantly improve us and be able to fit the style of play we want.

What does Brands actually do?? Digne said in his interview that his agent was speaking to Steve Walsh 3 months ago.

Except that he didn't say that at all though. He never mentioned Walsh and he said that his agent was contacted 2 months ago. Brands was officially appointed just over 2 months ago.
But hey, don't let the facts spoil a good conspiracy
