There's no evidence at all that he doesn't want to come to us, though.

That report in the Catalan press simply said that the deal took a bit longer to complete because there were other interested parties. A deal has been agreed with Everton and it's expected that he'll move to us.
 

As frustrating as it is that he is apparently waiting for better clubs, we cant take it personally as its not like he grew up dreaming of Everton. He's leaving one of the best clubs in the world but probably feels like he could move to a Roma/Sevilla/Dortmund type team who are obviously not as good but a step higher than us.

90% of players join teams they dont really want to but as long as they are professional and give 100% when they play I dont care.

Yes, agreed, but don't publicly state it or even indicate it, either yourself or via your agent, because it's disrespectful.

I mean it works both ways - we'd rather have Jordi Alba at Everton, but the club don't go around saying that during negotiations ffs
