Another rat that doesnt actually want to play for us

Let's spunk another £20m on another sh*thouse - that's worked really well for us recently

We're going to have to suck it up for a while and accept good players with ambitions won't want to sign for us.

Our last 4 league finishes: 11th, 11th, 7th, 8th.

With the top 6 looking like a closed shop, we're going to have to put up with higher quality players treating us as a last resort until we're perceived to be at least as strong as we were after Koeman's first season again.

If Richarlison had kept his form up for even a couple of months more last season, I suspect we'd have been his last resort as well.

No problem with this shows we are after a calibre of player better than those we are normally linked with.

That is fine until they realise they are never going to win anything here and then they down tools and collect the pay cheque. Very risky hiring mercenaries that would rather be somewhere else. The attitude should be don't want to sign when everything is on the table then don't and we move on to the next target. We have to stop being mugs.

Correct. Everton at the moment are not a great attraction so no problem with his thinking. Think it will prove that we have been a stepping stone for any better players we do get unless by some miracle we start challenging at the top. Better players at Everton will usually not last more than 2 - 3 seasons. That is about the amount of time we will be given by them.

It's why scouting is massively important and what Walsh and Koeman just binned off

Couldn’t agree more.

Why is he a rat? Because he wants the best move for his career?

It's utterly laughable that people seem to think we're a special club and players should want to come to us.

I only feel that way with youngsters from the city who we've made very rich and helped recuperate from career threatening injuries. He cost the club 20m quid too in the process. I rarely hold grudges but I think it would be fitting if he fades into obscurity. There's ways to go about leaving. He chose the more treacherous methods.

No players should be expected to show unwavering loyalty. But I expect better from someone in Ross' shoes.
