Dunno mate, i know a hell of a lot of people from my end (N Wales) who are going simply because it's a Welsh team playing. I'd expect to see a ton of part time Blues or people who don't support either team sat in the home stands.
iil have a nicker with ye royston its lower ,i told you in september the gates will be at least 5 thou down this year which will lead to a much bigger loss on turnover this year ,hate it when your right on something you dont want to be,as ive said lads r voting with there feet

Football is a form of entertainment.

Right now we're not entertaining in any capacity. Our play is awful and as someone else said, we're essentially playing out a season of friendlies as we're too good (*touch wood) to go down but too dreadful to accomplish anything. There is no reason to go to the match except to support the team out of a sense of blue pride. But as going to the match is very, very expensive you have to be either financially well off, bound by an already paid for season ticket or just a hardcore toffee masochist.

Bound by a season ticket ... still have to pay £15 for each game though as travelling from leeds. been utter ****e and a good few train journeys home feeling seriously pissed off .... luckily home for xmas on wed so may as well go lol. been dross though.

I remember fans being chuffed when we made 20,000 in 93. Kendall's last game had 13,000, many around then were 17,000. League Cup games were less. I remember Licoln being less than 10,000. Funny thing was the atmosphere was better. Unreserved seats were great. Howard Kendall's Blue White Army!

93-94 makes bad reading, the average that year was 22,886 though whereas the year before 20,457. There are plenty below 20,000 but the must win final games lifted the average. I had stopped going as I was in Oz, I think Leeds with 17,065 others was my last one, my r/s mate(Vadge) came just to see Gazza. He gave me his S.T. when I came back visiting and it was the Derby, the 'agent Johnson' one when Big Dunc scored, he ran over to where I was in the Kemlyn Rd.

I was in the Street End for the Coventry League Cup tie back in 83. 9,080 (including protesters handing out "Kendall & the Board Out" leaflets (one of which I have somewhere!) - Must be an all time low (post war anyway) for a game against fellow Div 1 opponents (albeit in the League Cup).

was there that night mate sharp scored last kick of the game on 1 leg , we had allready used our sub ,sharp was fuked but played the last 10 mins on 1 leg ,think mick ferguson scored for them that night could be wrong still see the lad who was handing out the kendall out leaflets ,to this day ,hes the ringer of duncan goodhew the then swimmer

Stopped going when Wally Smith strangled the life out of us, and stopped again about 18 months ago when I was sick of the crap we were serving up and could see the writing on the wall with the Kenwright regime.

Been the odd game since, but Stoke last week was the final straw for me. Will be back again as soon as one, or preferably both, of Moyes and the Kenwright Board have gone.

Freezin cold, 5 up at half time then not a shot in 2nd half.

What do we reckon for the tamworth game? We have bolton at home just before it aswell. Tickets are £20 for adults and £5 for juniors. Reckon bout 20,000 meself, im sure tamworth will bring bout 2,000. I might bring junior over for it, flights are cheap.

In terms of lowest Prem crowds, the subhuman scum that collects in the rectum of the northwest over the road has to be the worst.

Has the capacity reduced since 04-05?

Surprised not to see a few games from the 07-09 era in the list of top prem attendances, what with us probably having our most entertaining team over that period?
