As a Scouser I can't bear half the people in the city but the decent folk and actual city itself are ace. And I've lived all over the place. So yeah I think you need to have some sort of emotional attachment.

Liverpool is my spiritual home. it’s a symbiotic relationship I think, I bring great luck With me. Seen us smash United every time and even that 3-0 and and 1 nil v the RS and I don’t go to every united or RS game. Just the ones I’ve gone to we have won or drawn seldomly. Seen us beat united at home 4 times etc been to 5 united home games.... ok that was a bit of a ‘I sometimes go the game’ tangent... but I really do love the city. And 40+ games later I consider it a second home. Hate to be considered a ‘tourist’.

As a non scouser foreign Evertonian I love Merseyside, the city and its people. Don't think there's a 2nd place in the world where I feel like home away from home as in Liverpool.
