Don't get too crushed mate, its just an exhibition vs. MLS All-Stars. I thought about driving out there from MN, but I would much rather save up some money and go see the boys at Goodison. I'm hoping to get enough together to see them this winter.

Would have cost me about $250 for gas (petrol?) to drive the 2600 miles round trip. Then hotel at probably $80 a night. If I could have convinced some people to go with me it wouldn't have been too expensive but its hard mid week.
It would be fun to see, but I don't really expect the atmosphere to be all that great at the game, seeing as its an exhibition and probably half the people there don't know who Everton is. Not to mention SLC is about the least fun city on Earth. Just not worth the money/time off from work. For probably twice the cost I can see a game at Goodison this year that actually matters, hopefully 2 games.

Did that round trip when we drove from Texas to Colorado a few weeks ago. 1200 miles each way.
Didn't stop overnight either. Drove straight through.

Well i have drivin across country to virginia twice to see my family, (literally from oregon to virginia is all the way), but i know it would not be as nutty or crazy to see it at good ol GOOD but.....ITS EVERTON FOR PETE'S SAKE!, i do not know i guess for the everton fans who live over there, it is still a crazy match, but for us out here (or at least me) it is HUGE, i guess one day i could see them if they come back, or if i save my money for a couple years get a ticket enough for a hotel, and a passport and find time off work it would be no big deal. But sorry to get off track for me it will prob be 200$ to be safe on gas there back and to celebraite at a local *LAME LAME LAME* Salt lake pub, then yeah 80$ for a hotel, but yes it would be the dang world to this boy. Geez to think about it this way, i do not know one other fan from oregon. But to whom ever goes PLEASE TAKE SOME PICS and post them so i can see that action with smiles , but i will be watching it at a local pub, (if they got it there) if not at home with some brews.
