Longstanding Musical Question

You boys like your music on here and I have had a long term struggle with which was the best local band. Personally I like the Wurzels... but recently went to see the Grumbleweeds.

What do you boys think ?

I actually saw a Wurzels tribute band at the Wessex Beer Festival in Chilcompton a couple of weeks ago. They were ace.

Adge Cutler was actually a talented songwriter for the Wurzels but he died in a car crash in the early seventies and they then developed into a novelty band who merely put new scrumpy and tractors lyrics to popular tunes. Almost all of their commercial success came after Cutler's death.

Wurzels for me.
The Yetties are ( if they're still going ) the best at this sort of thing though

Wurzels.

They still play all the while down this way. They're bloody great. The drummer is 80 odd and still going strong.

Giraffe is right about Adge though.
