I have followed Everton for over 35 years and although I have read the forum on and off for the last couple of years I have never posted.
I am from Carlisle but live in Newcastle. Due to having my kids young and having a job which works a lot of weekends, I have struggled to get the time/money to be able to travel to many of the games over the past couple of years. Never stopped supporting though and have to put up with a lot of crap and banter from Toon supporters up here. It’s all worth it though as none of us would ever shy away from backing OUR club!
I have many great memories of supporting Everton and get so emotionally invested in each of the players who represent the badge that it is hard for me to choose a favourite. I loved the passion of Unsworth in my younger years and then moving on the determination of Tommy Gravesen. Tim Cahill was the boy though! Passion, grit and ability all in one. LEGEND!
Favourite player now would probably be Jordan Pickford due to the fact he has been the one who has pretty much kept us in the league the last couple of years (with a little help obviously). With big Jarrad being from my hometown, I am loving seeing how he is developing and feel like given the chance, he is a captain of the future!
I love seeing the different opinions of the fans and although I can often be overly optimistic, it has been a tough last couple of years. Never affected my love for Everton though!
