Any thoughts? Bit depressing to think that the rich clubs are pulling away across the board. If they want a superleague I'll point them to the door and watch whatever is left over.

Read the first part and its simply greed is God, depressing read really, confirms my fears, the greed of the so called elite teams in every league is killing the game. FFP was a great idea, if it had been brought out twenty odd years ago, now it is there just to keep the elite teams where they are and has created, reinforced the glass ceiling.

Personally ally like you I would take on the threats of Daniel Levy and co and tell them to walk away and form their super league. But I would make a threat myself and tell them once they've gone there is no way back. Their elite fans would soon get sick of losing a lot more often against the better teams in the world believe me.

Getting sick to death of the same teams winning, the same teams in the champions league etcetera, etcetera. Might even be interested in a more even handed league, where even us have a chance of winning.

Thanks mate, a good summary of the main points (perhaps should have done that myself, sorry to you other guys!).

I agree, call Levy's bluff, I wouldn't be sad to see those clubs go. In fact in a way I'd prefer them to go, then be able to watch a league regulated wisely to ensure a degree of evenness; it would actually be more fun to watch imo

I agree mate let them have there super league ,I honestly believe most match going fans of the so called top six would soon get bored of playing the same super rich clubs.
For me English football died with the introduction of the premier league.

Definitely, the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, football is turning stale in my eyes and has been for years, Champion's league, FFP, and now VAR, Ffs give us our game back. :(

We know this has happened.

I cant be the only one who has enormously lost interest now the league is a parade of the biggest chequebooks. There's no scope for variety, unpredictability or sporting romance anymore. Such things don't sell brands. TV execs want to sell the same product every year to the same potatoes, to line their pockets.
I watch significantly less football than I used to. I watch almost every Everton match but there's weekends now where I won't watch a single other game. CL group stage hardly interests me. I'm not even sure how much of the knockouts I'll bother to watch. I want to watch PSG vs Dortmund but despite being a much worse matchup the RS are on TV.

We can pick our CL games, they are all on.
