Player Valuation: £70m
Player performance? Or manager performance?

Just wanted to clear it up.

Because I've been hearing loads from people saying that you can't ignore the LMA awards, and your right you can't. However, the award is given based on the performance of the players. Now how can the argument - "once they cross that line, it's out of the managers hands", stack up?

How can Moyes say that, which he has done, and then gracefully accept the LMA awards?

Doesnt he always say though his awards are a reflection on his team and staff though!

Ok, so what exactly does he do then that justified his salary? If it's the team who are ultimately responsible? If it's the team and not Moyes who is responsible, then what's the point of having a manager on 60k a week?

His talent accounts prob for half the turnover of the club. Everton cant do without him to be honest.

Well if we are relying on Moyes to build a business then jesus are we in trouble. Would rather leave that side of things to people who know how to run a business. Rather have the manager putting his energies into the squad, rather than generating income for the club.

But the two are linked having a decent squad = additional TV money, Additional Prize Money, Additional European Prize Money, Cup Runs, developing, keeping and selling on Academy players, identifying talent low and selling high i.e. Lescott.

Its hard to think of another manager who could contribute to an 80 mill turnover the way he does, keep a team and supporters expectations of minimum top 6 every year on a net transfer spend of about 5mill a season. We're Knakered without
oyes to be honest.

In what sense? i cant honestly think of a manager who can do half of what Moyes has acheived for the club on his means, i honestly think we would go the way of Sheff Utd and Forest without him, unless of course our means change which i doubt.

We need hiim more then he needs us for me?

What do we expect with on average 5mill a season to invest. Im not being critical, just that our expectations are massively wrong given his means and as such we are like spild brats, demanding top 4 etc.

I demand top 7 mate, and I don't think that is being spoilt at all.

Why not? 5 mill a year, what should we reasonably expect spending that a year? Not top seven anyway for me! The clubs in the relegation zone all spent more then that!

Any other success is on the back of David Moyes ability, the man who head is being called for, its ridiculous really, we're spoilt to expect anything else then where we are at the moment for me, yet i dont think we will be down their long and that will be because of him as well.

We don't spend £5m a year mate.

Do you not think this squad is good enough for top 7? Because I do, and I guess many Evertonians do. Are you just going against everything I say today? Man.

Net average season on season is and around 5 mil mate!

I do mate and that sqaud has been developed at a pittance on the back of a mangers skill in spotting coaching and developing said players, we're in a rut thats not impossible to overcome given you and my faith in the sqaud, expierence teaches me though that a season is 38 games long and with a points diferential of a couple of wins of your aspiration i still think we will finish were we all hope theres nothing in it really. A lot of the comments we have seen recently are on the back of a dissapointing result, that said the consistencey we have shown this season in not getting beat will serve us in good stead, as our current standard will get better as the season goes on. Im pretty sure of that.

Moyes has proven before doubt him at your peril.
