Really looking forward to seeing what it means for the city once this 1.5 billion pound investment takes off. Liverpool is one of the most beautiful cities with the best people and it really deserves/needs to have this investment. This article is from May, but I'm not sure where it is all up to at the moment.

The money would be better spent improving the city's social housing, schools and local community regeneration.

Arseholes in suits blowing smoke up each others arses again.

Hard to disagree with that mate, as far the city centre has come the wider area is in desperate need of social investment, retail and leisure isn't the answer to to a city's future.

why are they wasting it on us robbing bin-dipping bastards ???

send the money to London where it'll be put to good use

The answer to improving Liverpool is not to further concentrate new developments in the centre of the city, which is already well developed and full of life.
but this creates more opportunities for ne'r do wells like myself to go into the city centre and beg for change whilst doffing my cap
