Let's not be fooled here...Newcastle have spend a lot of money to get where they are tonight. I know that they had some psr limitations, but they spend like crazy since they were nearly relegated. The pundits make it sound like it is a huge achievement...it is, of course, but it's easier with a 60 millions plus striker...

Tbf we can’t complain about spending. Compiled a team more expensive than Bayern Munich and ended up in what, 3 relegation scraps?

I don't get these it's only a Mickey Mouse cup shouts. It's a disgrace that we've never won this, while smaller clubs like Birmingham City and Newcastle United have!

Please god the new yank owners can get us sorted out and bring some actual "good times" back to Everton.
I would be on the ale for a week if we ever manage to win this mate, maybe it means more to us?

60 million striker, two 60 million midfielders, a 40 mill midfielder who was signed to be a striker....
A lot of money spent on defence to hall, livramento, hall, botman etc

We have never spend like newcastle has done recently. Yes we spend a fair amount on many number 10s, and sadly most turned out to be poor signings. If we want to win something like Newcastle has done, TFG has to prepare to spend 150 to 200 millions net spend at least in the summer and start the building process that could take 2 or 3 years before we can challenge the top teams.

After thirty years even the Europa Conference League will do. We're all just desperate to draw a line under the last thirty years worth of failure and disappointment.

I'm just hoping that the typical shrewd management of Moyes along with our new yank owners, can finally end the three decade trophy drought sooner rather than later.
