A couple of my red friends tell me they would be willing to stadium share with Everton, and apparently alot on the kop are feeling the same way! As financially it would put the too merseyside clubs back on the english football map! Half the costs, plow more money into the teams and the two can get a foot hold on the league as in the 80's. I think it would be good for Liverpool to have one massive joint stadium in stanley park, It will put Liverpool on the world football map and also would make us unique which is a strong scouse trait, being the first to do everything. So a stadium share sounds good. I know there is talk about seat colours etc, maybe half red half blue, and two seperate tunnels either side of the pitch one with this is anfield and our own tunnel opposite, we could also move the dixie statue and the shankly gates erecting them both on opposite sides of the stadium! Plus what about Liverpool Unites stadium to back the campaign! I also believe if it happens and we build a new stadium it will attract new investors to the club. What do you all think?

It would be great for the city to have two of the most famous and traditional football clubs under one roof all that heritage and history.

As a very last resort, if it's good for our club and for it's supporters, I could possibly accept a groundshare. Never in a million years should the ground have Liverpool in the name, Stanley Park Stadium off the top of my head would be satisfactory.

It is something that should be discussed. If you think the kirkby debate was heated ............

Watch this space.

i think the r/s realise that their new one isn't gonna happen, and if by some miracle it does then it will be when the yanks can heap the debt onto them.

i think all possibilities have to be looked at and i reckon all the obstacles about seat colours etc could be overcome

That is what I said on the other thread. But never say never but maybe or a very long shot.

Have to say though if it was possible I do like the idea of a really imposing modern stadium in Liverpool.

The shared Stadium is a fantastic idea, and would work really well, if done properly; but that's just it, do you trust our board, their board and LCC to do it properly? :D

I like the idea of the Shankly gates at one end, the Dixie Statue at the other, the Liver bird can stay (it was ours first) and the design for the corners could echo Prince Rupert's tower. Each Club would have it's own home end, with away fans being accomodated within one of the side stands. Each club keeps 100% of revenue generated on it's 'home' matchday (important distinction on Derby days), and shares (probably 3 ways with LCC, depending on the funding model) non - matchday revenue.

Space should be put aside to house the France collection in a large museum area (with an education and learning center) between two club shops along one side of the ground, with the other side of the ground housing the majority of the conferencing facilities.

If done properly, it could be a great shared home, something to be genuinely proud of, in the way the nature of our rivalry used to be something to be proud of, something that set us apart from the Mancs, the Brummies and Cockernees.

We'll see

It would be propa mega.

Imagine one big modern stadium, it would be fantastic for us both to share. Merseyside has seen more league titles then any other part of England 27 to Manchesters 20 so wouldnt it be appropriate to put rivalries aside a build for both clubs and make merseyside strong again.

Also if the stadium plan goes ahead and anfield and goodison get flattened you could build restaurants and bars on both former stadiums i.e blue bars and restaurants were goodison is, and red bars and restaurants were anfield is, so even the fans after the games can still have there unique pre match drinking dens
